Dr. Chineze J. Martinez is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida and a Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia, Oregon, and New Jersey. Additionally, she is a Certified Addiction Professional in the State of Florida. Chineze has worked in the mental health and substance abuse field for over 20 years. She has provided treatment to multiple populations, to include juvenile adolescents, severely persistent mental ill, pregnant women, college students, and substance abuse users. She has provided care for persons within juvenile detention centers, jails, mental health courts, residential group homes, psychiatric emergency rooms, and community recovery facilities. Through her matriculation and work experience Chineze has been able to build and maintain working relationships with drug court, Marchman Act court, and public defenders.
Chineze has previously supervised college level students in administering clinical intellectual assessments (WAIS, WISC), biopsychosocial assessments, treatment planning and documentation, as well as, facilitation of individual, family, and group services. In addition, Chineze was employed to assist in new employee on-board training, DCF/Medicaid/JCAHO auditing, and clinical documentation development.
Chineze was awarded Excellence in Treatment in March 2011, BHOS Therapist of the Month in August 2011, and Staff of the Month in April 2016.
In October 2024, Dr. Chineze Martinez completed her doctorate in Human Services at Albizu University. (Doral, Florida). She is currently an Adjunct Professor at Miami Dade College (Miami, FL). Additionally, Dr. Chineze Martinez is a Qualified Supervisor for intern level clinicians in Florida and Georgia.
